Questions about TSM central server administration and restore backup to another server

Discussion started by Steve Godbey 5 years ago

I'm new to TSM and have a couple of questions.  First, is it possible to administer all of the servers where I have TSM installed from a central server, or will I need to login to each server to backup and/or restore SQL Server databases?  Second, is it possible to take a backup created on one server and restore a database on another server without needing to update the taget server's DSM.OPT file?

Thanks

I to a new server then easiest is to restore entire server with corresponding dsmserv.opt and other DR files so there is no need of changing anything after restoring db ...
